Known as the ‘Happiest 5K on the Planet’, the Color Run is a fun, un-timed race that promotes healthiness, happiness and individuality. Since its debut event in 2012, the Color Run has grown into a global phenomenon that takes place in over 200 cities internationally.
Participants begin the race wearing white clothing, but they’re doused in different colors at each kilometer so they cross the finish line plastered in vivid shades.
Lauren Cool, T.E.A.M. Systems Wellness Coordinator, took part in Toledo’s Color Run. “It’s exciting because it’s not about who wins the race, but about getting out and exercising and having fun while doing it. The employees that participated loved it!”
The Toledo Color Run partnered with Mercy Children’s Hospital. For more information on Color Run events, visit their website www.thecolorrun.com
