Remember these guidelines for staying active and healthy this summer!

The sun is shining. The birds are chirping. The breeze is cool and the air refreshing. Summer is here and there is no better time to get out there and be active!

With so many reasons to go outdoors and get the most health benefits out of this season, it is important to review a variety of ways to stay active and to remember why physical activity is the “Best Buy” for wellness. Regular physical activity helps prevent and reduce risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. Not only that, but physically active individuals sleep better, feel better and function better day-to-day. The benefits of physical activity are plenty.

The question is: how much activity do we need?
